Urd in Elegant Dress - resin kit
22 October 2011

Urd with Elegant Dress from E2046.com .

Kit was nice quality, but hair parts required a lot of fitting.

Overall I’m satisfied with work, but I spoiled sealing, so the surface isn’t that smooth. I’m really proud of how I managed to do her face with my shaking hands.

Paints: Vallejo Air, Mr. Color.

Feb-May, 2008 It was our subject for sculpture lessons- characteristic character.

During one of our last sculpture lessons in whole school year, I've made sketches, then I start to sculpture it in wax. It took me about two weeks to make it. Then, with help of my sculpture teacher, who's my tutor I've took it to foundry, where they've made it in bronze. It wasn't end of my work with, because I had to clean it, polish up and my tutor helped me with cutting of unneeded metal parts, which were left after casting. Then my professor told me how to patinate it. But with this helped me my Dear Bobson (My teacher had lessons during that time xD). Also he's taken those photos.
I haven't been doing it for a long time because my classmates who had sculpture annex had to be first.

It's my first time when I've made something alike and I'm quite satisfacted. For sure I'm going to make more in this technique in the furure.
There was problem with lips, because after casting there was large bubble of metal in them, and we had to re-sculpture them from nothing.

Lost Wax Method
Bronze, patina, about 24cm of high.

I had a really large problem with wings.. or with attaching them. but I hope, that it's not bad o.o
Also.. I set up too large temperature while 'baking' XD and it started to melt[?] o.o but, fortunately, nothing really bad happend XD

I made a sculpture [Yeah, I can't believe that too ]... [it smells like cookies X3]
It's kinda crappy [especially his back], but I'm quite prod of it, because: 1. I hate doing things like that, my hands are always shaking 2. It has got HUMAN face! At last! Real face... not crappy manga, or moster, but human! [that's main reason, why I'm proud. 3. God, I took me about 3-4 days...
